I really love the styles and silhouettes and general aesthetic of the 13th and 14th centuries, however I'm not a fashion histor...

This pattern is based on actual medieval dresses found in Herjolfsnes, Greenland, but the construction is modern. There's a choice of necklines and sleeves.
#2
This is a very modern dress but something in the feeling of it makes me think medieval. The buttons down the front and skirt made of several panels fit the theme well. (The puffy sleeve caps and back lacing detail, not so much.)
#3
The silhouette of this dress reminds me of men's cotehardies. Tweak the details a little and wear it with a leather belt and a hood, and you're great.
#4
A bit short for actual medieval, but the silhouette is very similar. Depending on the styling this could be a very fun and fantastical modern take.
#5
Another very modern pattern, but the buttons down the front just scream medieval to me at this point. Also if you cut the armscyes much deeper, this could be an interesting take on a gates of hell -dress.
#6
These next two have a very simple A-line silhouette, and I could easily see them used as basic shifts.
#7
Depending on the fabric this could also be a tunic rather than a shift.
#8
This dress is giving me definite "1990s does medieval" vibes. Kaz Rowe made a video about how the medieval aesthetic has resurfaced in fashion a few times, I'll link it in the comments.
#9
This one is a bit more late-medieval/renaissance but I feel like it still fits the mood. Also slightly more of a masculine look (by medieval standards.)
#10
I believe this pattern was based on actual medieval hoods. Make sure to also check the dagging expansion.
#11
Another simple A-line dress, there's a view with long sleeves, and the top view has a round neckline.
#12
At first glance this dress looks very modern, but it reminds me a lot of bathhouse dresses. Just make it in white linen and swap the centre back zip for side lacing.
#13
This pattern (or extension, rather) feels very visually similar to a midwife's apron. Depictions of the aprons usually have smocking to gather in the front, but this could be a simplified version.
#14
Based on the silhouettes these next two aren't medieval at all, but that split-down-the-middle parti-colored look is just the right spirit.
#16
This one is more on the costume side, but it's inspired by medieval fantasy dresses.
#17
Lastly, I'm including a couple knit patterns that have a medieval-ish silhouette and could work well as casual historybounding pieces. For this one, the sleeves in particular remind me of medieval styles. You could also lengthen the dress.
#18
This one has the fitted bodice and flared skirt that is so iconic. Especially if you made it with long sleeves.
#19
This one has a subtle medieval fantasy feel to it. With lots of options for length, sleeves, and necklines. And the button-down front!
