The pattern has three sizes — ‘Kids’, ‘Youth’ and ‘Adult’ and although the finished circumference is listed, it is very flexible in both directions thanks to the adjustable closures. Since all sizes use the same brim, the size you choose should be guided by the finished measurements and personal fit preference.

Choose fabric that suits the way the cap will be used. If using scraps, aim to use similar weights when mixing textiles. Choose a light to medium weight fabric for the sweatband to reduce the folded edge being visible on the outside. Lightweight fabrics may need a layer of fusible interfacing.
