Fabric suggestions
• Bodice/skirt fabrics: Drafted for a light medium-weight knit with at least 40% stretch. Cotton lycra, double brushed polyester, bamboo lycra, rayon blends, poly spandex, rib knit, ITY, waffle, etc.
• Using fabrics with less recovery for the bodice, such as rayon spandex will ‘grow’ with wear and feel looser/longer than the intended fit.
• If using a knit with less recovery, you may wish to size down if in between sizes and will need to stabilize the bodice and tiered skirt with knit interfacing or clear elastic.
Supplies
• Optional: 1/2″ wash away hem tape, knit twin needle, 1/4″ or 3/8″ clear elastic or knit fusible interfacing
• Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ballpoint, stretch, or jersey needle.
