Fabric suggestions
For the main body- Medium weight knit fabric with at least 40% stretch horizontally, some vertical stretch, good recovery, and that drapes nicely.
•Rayon spandex, Brushed poly, bamboo lycra, ITY, lighter weight cotton lycra, etc.
•Thicker fabrics with less stretch will feel more fitted.
•Slinky fabrics, such as bamboo lycra and rayon spandex, will feel looser and may grow with wear.
•For binding and bands – knit fabric with 50% stretch and good recovery.
Supplies
• Optional 3/8″ clear elastic.
• Optional tie- any fabrics, cording, lace, etc.
• Optional: wash away hem tape for hemmed option, knit twin needle, tube tuner.
• Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ballpoint, stretch, or jersey needle.
