To sew this dress, choose woven fabrics with the following properties: - Medium weight, easily shaped with steam, breathable, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque; - The fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk), artificial (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, viscose + polyester) and synthetic (polyester, polyester + elastane); - The following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight wool, gabardine, wool crepe. Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knits and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace). The dress in the photo is made of suiting fabric. This fabric is medium weight, presses well, is soft and has very little stretch. The fiber content is a blend of 90% wool and 10% polyester.

1. Main fabric, 140cm wide, with a directional print/nap, in meters: 1.65 m - 2.3 m

2. Fusible interfacing, 140cm (55”) wide, for all sizes: 0.55 m - 0.64 m 3. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, 1.5cm (5/8”) wide — 3 7/8 yards. 4. Two sew-on snaps, 0.7–1cm (1/4”–3/8”) in diameter. 5. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine and 4 spools for the overlocker). 6. One pair of shoulder pads, 0.8cm (just under 3/8”) in height.
