Fabric suggestions
The Garden Dress is designed for woven fabrics. If sewing French seams, we recommend using a light weight [2 to 5oz] fabric. A cotton lawn, voile, poplin, a linen or even a silk taffeta or noil would work well. If sewing plain seams, a medium weight fabric would work [5.5 to 6oz]. Please keep in mind, if using a mid weight fabric, the ties and button loop may be hard to turn.
Supplies
Tools required to sew the Garden Dress include; a sewing machine, fabric scissors, clippers, tailor’s chalk or heat dissolving pen, loop turner, pins, sewing needle and an iron.
Notions include; matching thread, 1 button and 1/4 inch [6 mm] double fold bias binding [if you choose not to make your own].
