Fabric suggestions
It works best with midweight fabrics (6 to 8 oz/yd) or heavyweight fabrics (8 to 10 oz/yd) that have good drape, such as wool suiting, linen, or Tencel. For a more casual look, you can also use canvas or denim, which will hold the structured lines of the pleats.
