CUPS AND CRADLE Fabrics with no-stretch or low stretch fabrics. Low stretch fabrics should be 10-25% stretch and may be cut on the straight grain. The smaller the stretch percentage, the more support. The more stretch, the more forgiving fit. Low-stretch Fabrics: bra tulle, foam, tricot, duoplex, simplex, ponte, or bobbinet BACK BAND Fabrics with 50-60% stretch and good recovery such as powernet or techsheen. ELASTICS Elastics with 50-60% stretch such as a firm plush elastic or denser fold over elastic. For a firmer band, select a plush elastic with a smaller stretch percentage or size down in the back band/wing pattern piece only. FRONT CLOSURE CLASPS This pattern is compatible with several front closure clasps types. For large breasts, metal clasps are recommended: G-hooks, 1-column continuous hook and eye or magenetic swim clasps. For small breasts, clasps of any materials may be used: G-hook, 1-column hook and eye, nursing clasps (applied horizontally), etc.
