Fabric suggestions

•Fabric content will affect the drape and fit. •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit. •Drafted for medium weight knits (200gsm +) with 4-way stretch, great recovery, and a minimum 50% horizontal stretch, and 50% vertical stretch. Look for high spandex content, 5% minimum, but I prefer 12%-25%. Note- the higher spandex content and heavier weight knits (250gsm+) will feel tighter and give more compression. •Peached performance fabric is by far my favorite fabric for Emmy. It is 370gsm, 87% polyester, 13% spandex. It has 100% horizontal stretch and 100% vertical stretch. •Other options will be a ribbed athletic knit, athletic brushed poly, or other athletic knits, etc. •I like to self line my Lottie waistband, but you could also use another similar weight athletic knit for the lining. You do not want to use a different weight or stretch fabric for the lining, it will not work well.

Supplies

•Optional- 1/4″ clear elastic to add support to the waistband. •Optional- 1/2″ wonder under or knit hem tape •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, safety pin or bodkin, and marking tool. Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle.
