BRA CUPS AND CRADLE This pattern is suitable for fabrics with no-stretch or low stretch fabrics. Low stretch fabrics should be 5-25% stretch and may be cut on the straight grain. Non-stretch woven fabrics may be used on the bias to mimic a 5% mechanical stretch for cups or straight grain for cradle. The smaller the stretch percentage, the more support. The more stretch, the more forgiving fit. Low-stretch Fabrics: bra tulle, sheer cup lining, stabilized tricot, duoplex, simplex, ponte, or foam. Non-stretch Fabrics: cotton wovens, silk charmeuse. BRA WING Fabrics with 50-60% stretch and good recovery such as powernet or techsheen. CAMISOLE BUILT-IN BRA Fabrics with 20-30% stretch and good recovery such as powernet or techsheen. If a less supportive version is desired, fabrics with 50% stretch (to match the cami exterior) may be used for lounge or sleepwear. CAMISOLE EXTERIOR Fabrics with AT LEAST 50% stretch and good recovery such as cotton lycra, rayon lycra, or lightweight powernet and powermesh.
