Fabric suggestions Show/hide details
Medium Weight: It is optimal to use a medium weight woven, non-stretch fabric: woven cottons, oxford, chambray, poplin, shirting, woven linen, viscose, rayon challis. Loose weave or slightly slippery or drapey fabric will cause a challenge when preparing and sewing the bias binding of Style A, especially if you are a beginner sewer. If you want to avoid this, you may forgo light-weight linen, viscose and rayon challis. Heavy Weight: You may desire a more robust feel and choose a heavy weight fabric: corduroy, denim, canvas, wool suiting. If your fabric is very thick, cut the facings, side pockets, and one each of the flower pockets in a lighter weight fabric.
