Linen, cotton, chambray, quilting cotton, Liberty Tana lawn, viscose, lightweight wool and suitings. For the coat version: denim, mid-weight wool, tweed, wool suiting and gabardine. Not suitable for napped fabrics and one-way prints.

- Two lengths of 1.2cm/½" wide bias binding, each 6.5cm/2½" long, for the front neck. The binding can be a matching or contrast colour. - Buttons 12mm-15mm wide, 10-12 or more if the dress is made longer. - Sewing thread to match the fabric and bias binding. - If your fabric is fine, for example cotton lawn, you'll need interfacing for front button stands. Two strips 2.5cm/1" wide and the length of the stands
