Fabric suggestions
This pattern requires lightweight, stable woven fabrics such as lightweight linen, cotton shirting, poplin, or chambray.
Fabrics NOT suitable: stretch wovens, knits or woven fabrics with a textured or open weave (such as muslin or double gauze) will be very hard to handle when it comes to sewing the front overlap detail, and are not recommended.

Spool of coordinating thread
Small piece of lightweight interfacing to stabilise the facing and collar - knit or woven are the preferred choices, but non-woven would be OK.
2 small buttons or 2 sets of snaps if adding the optional sleeve tabs. Though you can use any size you desire, a 1/2"-5/8" (1.3-1.5cm) button will necely fit the 1" (2.5cm) button tab.
