Fabric suggestions
You can use almost any woven, non-stretch fabric for the exterior of your bag, but midweight fabrics are recommended for the best results. This pattern looks especially nice out of something like nylon taslan, ripstop, other light-midweight outdoor/utility fabrics but light canvas or twill work as well. Heavier fabrics can create bulky seams that may interfere with the cinch detail.
For the lining, something light like quilting cotton is ideal to avoid adding bulk or weight, but again, any woven non-stretch fabric will work.
