Tie belts: If you are sewing the dress with a tie belt, in most cases there will be room for the belt pieces next to the sleeves when you cut out the pattern pieces, and therefore you do not necessarily need to calculate more fabric consumption. If there is not enough space next to the sleeves, the plain belt uses 10 cm / 4” extra fabric, and 35 cm / 14” to the tie belt with wrinkles.
The fabric consumption is measured on the basis of 150 cm / 59” wide fabric, and is rounded up.
The lowest number is with T-shirt sleeves, and the highest number with long sleeves.
