Fabric suggestions
We recommend light- to medium-weight wovens with some body and crispness: cotton sateen, broadcloth, poplin, oxford, lawn, eyelet, and shirtings.
Alternatively. for a more aglamorous finished garment silk taffeta, dupioni, or
shantung may also be used. We also recommend silk organza, which is what we
used for our project
For the apron support, we recommend medium-weight cotton buckram. This will help maintain the spiderweb points when worn.
