Fabric suggestions
Use a medium-weight knit fabric with some structure such as interlock, double knit and sweater knit, ensuring it has elastane or spandex for good recovery, and offers 30% horizontal and vertical stretch.
Supplies
* 15” (38 cm) of 1/2” (1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using light-weight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain)
* A piece of very lightweight woven fabric, such as charmeuse, satin, or viscose challis, cut on the bias, measuring 1 3/4” (4.5 cm) wide by 22” (56 cm) long
* For the cropped option: use four 1/2” (12 mm) buttons; for the high-hip option: use five 1/2” (12 mm) buttons.
