(More fabric info on the website photos) Light or medium weight woven fabric for the exterior and lining: this fabric needs to be light enough to be gathered (so the strap can scrunch up), not see-through, and easy to fold and press in place (so you can fold and press the ties and strap). For example: cotton (poplin, lawn, quilting, percale), lightweight wool, a bedsheet, a light tablecloth, a light curtain, etc. + You'll also need some heavyweight fabric to be used as underlining: This fabric won’t be visible in the finished bag, it will be sandwiched between the exterior and lining fabric(s), to give enough structure to the body of the bag. So you can use any thick fabric you don’t like! For example: canvas, denim, a thick curtain, a worn out bedspread or a light quilted blanket (perfect for a slightly padded bag), etc. You can also use interfacing (sew-in or fusible) as your heavy fabric.
