Fabric suggestions
Exterior: Medium-weight (8-10oz) canvas, denim or cotton twill. Avoid thick denim or bulky fabrics as the seams have several layers and may be difficult to sew on a domestic machine. Waxed canvas or vinyl can also be used (omit
interfacing).
Lining: Light to medium-weight woven fabric - quilting cotton or cotton poplin are ideal.
Interfacing: Medium-weight fusible woven interfacing is required for all exterior pieces

-Lining Fabric - ¾ yd
-Fusible Woven Interfacing - 20” / 36” wide - 1 3/4 yds / 1 1/4 yds
-Fusible Fleece 36” wide- ½ yd
-Fusible Foam piece (for Back Panel) - 9” x 12”
-Firm fusible interfacing - one 5” square
Supplies
Both bags: #5 Zipper Tape by the yard - 32" (17”, 8”, and 7”) and four matching zipper pulls OR 3 Regular Zippers
Sling Bag: one Rectangular Ring, one Swivel Hook and one Strap Slider – all 1½”, plus two 1” D Rings
Backpack: one 1½” D Ring, four Swivel Hooks, and two Strap Sliders – all 1¼”, plus two 1” D Rings
Optional: ½ yd of 2 or 3mm leather lace for zipper pulls, and two 7 or 8mm Rivets with correct setting tools
