Fabric suggestions
Stable light to medium-weight woven fabrics, that interface well, are recommended for this pattern.
Supplies
- Pellon SF101 or a similar woven fusible interfacing is recommended.
- 1x 3/8" cord lock for the chin strap.
- Hand sewing needle, and thimble.
- Topstitching thread is not necessary, but there is a lot of topstitching that can be made decorative.
Optional: 8x 1/4" (0.6cm) eyelets with eyelet setting tool, and a pointy awl or similar tool to make holes.
Note: Some machines have an eyelet stitch that can be used in place of these. Please check the quality of your eyelets before poking holes into your hat. Poor quality eyelets can be jagged on the back after they have been set. At best this could be uncomfortable, at worst it could cut you or tear your hair out.
