Fabric suggestions
Mid-weight fabrics with a nice drape, and preferably with bit of synthetic blend are sutable. Synthetic fibres will allow to fix the pleats with force and high heat. The fabrics can be mostly wool, cotton, or mixed fibres but they need to have a smooth surface, Heavier satin and viscose would work. The skirt has parallel patter sides and pleats, which means that if you choose a check or striped fabric, you can use the fabric pattern as a guide when you fold and press the pleats.
