waistbands
1-2 yards of 1" (2.5cm) non-roll knit elastic for encased elastic waistband option
ZIPPERS: You need a small zipper so that the teeth and pull are small. Size 3 is very common. You can
also search for 'doll clothes' zipper. You can absolutely shorten a zipper that is too long to fit.
5" (12.7cm) zipper for back waistband pocket zipper option
2" (5cm) and/or 3" (7.6cm) zipper for double side pocket zipper option: 2" zipper pouch only works for
6" shorts lengths and longer.
1/8" yard/meter of lightweight fusible interfacing (such as SF101) OR woven fabric for either/both zipper
options.
WonderTape - optional, but will make your zippering loads easier
