Fabric suggestions Show/hide details
Main fabrics: Medium-weight knit fabric with at least 50% stretch. • Cotton lycra, bamboo lycra, stretch mesh, jersey, or ribbed knits work great. • Natural fiber will breathe better, and I highly suggest at least the crotch lining; however, double brushed poly or other poly blends will also work. Waistband options: • Knit Waistband: band fabric needs to have at least 50% stretch and 5% lycra. If it doesn’t have good recovery, you’ll find the shorties will fall and sag with wear during the day. Cotton lycra and ribbing work best. • Enclosed elastic waistband option: 1″ knit elastic, plus knit waistband fabric (listed above) • Exposed elastic waistband option: 1″-2″ soft knit waistband elastic • Lace waistband option: Stretch lace. Any width 1″ or wider will work. Wider lace will provide more coverage and a higher rise. Narrower lace will hit lower. Leg line options (note- the knit leg band option will give the most coverage): • Knit bands: same fabric requirement as knit waistband above • Picot option: 3/8″ or 1/2″ picot elastic • Lace option: 1/2″-2″ wide stretch lace
