Testimonials - what our members are saying

“Threadloop is exactly what the online sewing community has been missing imo. It's made for sewists by sewists and it shows in every facet of thoughtful user-centred design & features.”

“As a self-proclaimed chaos sewist, Threadloop is exactly what I need to keep my sanity. Against all odds, it was fun (and even therapeutic?) to catalog my fabric and patterns.”

“The best part for me is that I have been able to find my sewing perspective again— not just sew what is trendy or sew what I see others doing on Instagram.”

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]

Is Threadloop really free?
Yes, Threadloop is a free sewing app! There are no limitations on the number of fabrics or patterns you can add to your stash, nor do we limit how many sewing projects you can plan and share with the community. We offer a plus subscription for those who want to support the platform and get access to advanced features and stats.
Is Threadloop a 'Ravelry for sewing'?
Threadloop is sometimes compared to the knitting platform Ravelry, which we are similar to in some ways. Like Ravelry, we also have a pattern database - however, we do not sell patterns. Just as the techniques and materials differ between sewing and knitting, so do the features and focus of our platforms.
Is there an app I can download?
Threadloop is a web application that you can use on any device with a browser! You won't find us in any app stores, but you can add Threadloop to your phone home screen or desktop for an app-like experience.
Is Threadloop the same as Backstitch?
Yes! Due to a trademark conflict, we had to change our name from Backstitch to Threadloop. We are still the same team, with the same mission.
