About Threadloop
👋 Hi, we’re Guro and Endre.
We’re making Threadloop for people who love to sew. We want it to be a useful tool for you to organize your sewing and a community you can lean on for inspiration.
Our principles
We do our best work when building something we can be proud of. That means caring deeply about design and user experience, but also having a set of principles to guide our decisions about Threadloop:
- An honest business model.
- We have no outside investors or advertisers, and we will never sell your data. We make money by selling an optional subscription with access to additional features.
- A generous free tier.
- Everyone should be able to use Threadloop to organize their sewing and connect with the community, whether they can afford to pay for a subscription or not.
- You are in control of what you see.
- Instead of an algorithm designed to keep you engaged, we let you filter, sort, and search to find exactly what you want.
- Shaped by your feedback and constantly improving.
- We listen to your suggestions and turn them into new features and improvements every week.
- Easy to use.
- We take pride in crafting a platform that is well-designed and a delight to use. As both a designer and a sewist, Guro makes sure Threadloop feels intuitive and fits naturally into the way sewists plan and create.
- Social, but calm.
- Threadloop has social features, but no likes or follower counts. We want you to share your process and connect with other sewists without the pressure to perform, compete, or turn your hobby into content.
