Fabric suggestions Show/hide details
The Frankie Jacket can be made using a wide range of fabrics, depending on what you'd like. Heavy fabrics like denim, twill, and canvas will make your jacket more structured, but you can also use midweight fabric like corduroy, light wool, or flannel for a shacket type feel. I personally do not recommend using anything with stretch. Just remember that we're sewing a zipper, so we want a fabric that is sturdy enough to hold that zipper. We also need a lining fabric. and I suggest 100% cotton, or some kind of lightweight shirting. Again, skip any fabric with stretch.

During testing, we realized a lot of online shops only offer even numbered zippers (in inches), so don't worry if you need to size up or down. Just compare your zipper to your pattern piece to make sure it will work with your size.
