Exterior: I like to use wool - in particular wool blankets, but you could also use heavier weight cottons, corduroy, denim, flannel, coating fabrics, wool melton or similar fabrics. Fleece and soft-shell are also suitable. You could use quilting cottons for a spring weight coat. Lining: I like to use cotton, linen or other breathable fabric, but you can use regular lining fabric if you wish.
