You can use any skin coloured broadcloth, calico, linen or other tightly woven plain cotton material for the body.

24” of 44” wide fabric (60cm of 115cm wide woven (non-stretch) fabric)and a spool of co-ordinating thread. This will be enough for two dolls but you will need this amount in order to make one.

Natural yarn for hair We used some random balls from the thrift store. This style suits using 3+ different colours and textures of yarn, including one which is chunky or super-chunky weight. (Acrylic yarn will go fuzzy so is not recommended. Upholstery weight thread - hair Choose a colour similar to hair for attaching hair to head Upholstery weight thread - skin Choose a colour similar to the skin for attaching limbs to body Stuffing I like to use clean, carded wool, but you could use other forms of stuffing Embroidery Floss You can choose whichever colours you have on hand, however, we used: Iris-DMC 322 Lid & Lashes-DMC 3362 Eye highlight -DMC White Nose-DMC 951 Lips-DMC 3045 Eyebrows - choose a similar colour to hair, we used DMC 840 Beige Brown Other Supplies & Notions Water erasable marker Doll needles - approx 3 ½ inch (9 cm) and a 7 inch (18 cm) Optional: Haemostats - for turning little things out and placing little bits of stuffing. Optional: Rug Hook - very helpful for adding the strands of hair. Alternatively a crochet hook. Optional: 4 plastic safety joints, depending on the jointing method you choose to use.
