Fabric suggestions

For this pattern, our top recommendation would be a woven cotton or linen with a moderate or fluid drape between 3-7 oz per square yard. Stiffer fabrics with a voluminous drape can be used, but may result in a "poofier" garment. Knit fabrics with a lot of stretch are not recommended, as they can cause the binding construction to be quite tricky.

Fabric requirements

Sizes: 0 – 34, corresponding to Bust 31″–61″ (≈ 78.7 cm–143.5 cm), Waist 24″–54″ (≈ 61 cm–137.2 cm), Hip 34″–65″ (≈ 86.4 cm–165.1 cm). Fabric recommendations: Woven cotton or linen with moderate or fluid drape (3-7 oz/yd²) are suggested. Knit fabrics with large stretch are not recommended. Fabric yardage (excerpt): Sleeveless Top: 60″ (150 cm) wide fabric: ~ ¾ yd to 1⅝ yd (≈ 65 cm–150 cm) depending on size. Sleeveless Dress: 60″ wide fabric: ~ 2 yd to 3¼ yd (≈ 180 cm–300 cm). Note: If you include sleeves, add 1⅛ yd (≈100 cm) extra fabric.
