Community guidelines
Threadloop aims to be a positive, authentic, and welcoming space to share your sewing projects, exchange experiences, discover patterns, and have discussions.
You may notice it feels quite different from other online spaces. There's no algorithmic feed and no likes/reactions/upvotes on Threadloop, so controversial or extreme comments don't create more visibility or engagement, they just make you look silly and make other people feel badly.
You should aim to be kind, respectful and helpful in your interactions here.
Being thoughtful and considerate of others is key to maintaining the positive environment of Threadloop. We can all help to build a caring and supportive community together.
When leaving reviews, the community truly values your honest feedback (positive and negative), but please focus on your own experiences, not the experiences of others. Do not use your own reviews (or comments) to critique other members' experiences or opinions.
When browsing projects, it's always better not to comment if you feel compelled to be cruel or insulting to the person who made it. It is neither kind nor helpful to say that you find someone's project unflattering, for example.
If you try to create conflict by being discriminatory, hateful, rude, or mean-spirited, content may be removed without notice and your account may be suspended or removed.
Please refer to Usage Restrictions for more information.
If you see behavior or content that you feel might violate the spirit of these policies, please contact us as outlined in Usage Restrictions.
In short: be nice.
